A CardTerminal that implements the PowerMangementInterface can power down and power up the smart card in a slot.

Method Summary

Method Detail

powerUpCard

public void powerUpCard(int slotID,
                        int timeout)
                 throws CardTerminalException

Power up an inserted smartcard.

Parameters:

slotID - slot identifier

timeout - The time to wait before returning (in seconds); -1 signals an indefinite timeout (i.e., wait forever).

Throws:

CardTerminalException - Thrown when there is no card present or a timeout occurs.

powerDownCard

public void powerDownCard(int slotID,
                          int timeout)
                   throws CardTerminalException
